It is probably a bit late to tell you this, but the Winter 06 issue of Japan Inc magazine, features gBuying a home in Japanh as the cover story. Not only does it explain the step by step process of buying a house, it explains home loans in Japan, and has a few case studies of foreigners who have bought land, engaged architects and built their own houses. The article is very Tokyo-centric but is still very interesting reading for anyone thinking of buying in Japan.
In March the government will publish its list of kojikakaku, or public land values, and we are waiting to see to what extent the ripple effect of recent Tokyo land value rises will effect Kobe.
In our January newsletter we wrote that we had several no-key money apartments in the Rokko to Sannomiya area. Most of those properties have gone, but we have some more in the same area. See our website.
Buy to let Properties in Sannomiya and Motomachi area
We find there is often a demand for rental properties in the central business area of Kobe, which makes it a good place to be an owner. Below are a selection of downtown buy-to-let properties in Sannomiya and Motomachi.

Interesting rentals
